Peru - Draft Supreme Decree Approving a Technical Regulation on Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS) for Lighting Products

The Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM) has proposed a Draft Supreme Decree approving a Technical Regulation on Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS) for lighting products.

The proposed regulation establishes the minimum energy efficiency requirements that lighting products must meet for manufacture, importation, distribution, and marketing in Peru.

Its objective is to promote the efficient use of energy by improving the energy performance of lighting products, reducing energy consumption, mitigating climate change impacts, protecting the environment, and supporting public health and social well-being.​
