Oman - DGSM Administrative Decision No. (1) of 2025: Gulf Technical Regulation for Low Voltage Electrical Equipment – Water Dispensing Appliances

​Oman DGSM (Directorate General of Standardization and Metrology) has adopted on October 13, 2025 the Administrative Decision No. (1) of 2025: Application of the Gulf Technical Regulation for Low Voltage Electrical Equipment to a Specific List of Products.

This decision shall be adopted for the products mentioned in the attached Product List:

1) Household Water Dispensing Appliances
​2) Commercial Water Dispensing Appliances

Concerned products are classified under Customs Code: 841869100000​.

The conformity assessment procedure DGSM-CAP-2-22, second edition dated October 9, 2025 applies which requires products must comply with essential safety requirements and electromagnetic compatibility standards before being placed on the market.

Manufacturers must apply to a designated Notified Body for Type Examination Certificate and Importer shall issue a Declaration of Conformity for each shipment.

This decision shall enter into force on November 20, 2025. 
Mandatory application begins on February 13, 2026.
