Morocco (MCINET) - Automotive Components´ Conformity Assessment under VOC Program

​On December 18, 2019, the Ministry of Industry, Trade and the Green and Digital Economy (MCINET) approved TÜV Rheinland and other conformity assessment bodies ("sociétés d'inspection") to assess the conformity of products that include automotive spare parts. See list below:

- Tires (standards NM 05.2.500-2010, NM 05.2.501,

- Wheels (standards NM 22.0.021-2015 and NM 22.0.021),

- Batteries (standards NM 22.2.017-1998, NM 22.2.017-1998, NM EN 50342-1 and NM 22.2.013-1998)

- Brake discs and drums (standards NM 22.6.230 and NM 22.6.230),

- Brake lining test method (standards NM ISO 11157 -2009 and NM 22.6.061),

- Brake lining (standards NM 22.6.201-2009 and NM 22.6.201-2009),

- Brake fluid (standards NM ISO 4925 - 2010 and NM 22.6.013),

- Brake hoses (standards NM ISO 3996 -2009, NM ISO 6120 -2009, NM 22.6.124 and NM 22.6.123),

- Safety glazing (standards NM ISO 3538, NM 22.9.035, NM 22.4.003-2012 and NM 22.4.003-2012),

- Filter elements,

- Mechanical control cables: clutch, handbrake and throttle (standards NM 22.6.210 and NM 22.6.210)

- Motorcycle chains (standards NM ISO 10190-2015 and NM 22.8.114)

- Protective helmets (standards NM 22.8.118-2003 and NM 22.8.119-2003)

- Inner tubes for bicycles and motorcycles (standard 22.8.203-2017)

The conformity assessment will be carried out in Moroccan territory, and this notification is relevant as the "grace period" has been terminated and all products herein mentioned must undergo VOC Program.
