Mexico (NOM) - Draft Mexican Official Standard PROY-NOM-194-SE-2021 for New Light Vehicles - Requirements and Specifications

​Mexico has released an updated version of NOM-194-SCFI-2015 (to be canceled) that is PROY-NOM-194-SE-2021. This version includes latest lists of mandatory safety equipment for vehicles as well as voluntary safety equipment. All of them based on international regulations such as United Nations (UN-R) and United States (FMVSS).

It also includes, for the first time, autonomous vehicles' specifications based on SAE levels of automation.
