The Mexican government published the Official Mexican Standard, NOM-035-ENER-2025, which establishes limits, testing methods, and labeling requirements for unitary air conditioners.
This standard, led by the National Commission for the Efficient Use of Energy (CONUEE), promotes energy efficiency as part of the nation’s Energy Transition and Sustainability Plan.
