Malaysia - SIRIM Published Guidelines on Importation and Inspection of Plastic Waste

​Announcement from Malaysia Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry - From July 1, 2025, importation of waste plastic shall obtain Certificate of Approval from SIRIM, importers shall fulfil all conditions under Malaysian laws, and the exporters belong to or originate from countries that have signed and ratified the Basel Convention.
