Malaysia - Ban on E-Waste Effective from April 1

​The Customs (Prohibition of Imports) (Amendment) (No. 3) Order 2026 was published in Malaysia on March 31, 2026, and entered into force on April 1, 2026. This amendment to the Customs (Prohibition of Imports) Order 2023 formally reclassifies waste electrical and electronic equipment as goods that are absolutely prohibited from being imported.​
