Lebanon - TRA Type Approval Regulation Modification

​The Lebanon Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) recently issued modification to the Type Approval Regulation, via Decision No. 3/2026. This was published in the Offical Gazette on January 22, 2026​, and came into effect since then.

The primary changes involve updating specific definitions related to network infrastructure equipment (NIE), modifying the appearance of mandatory compliance labels, and revising fees for various approval services. A significant update includes classifying smartphones into a specific category within the equipment table due to their multiple technologies (4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, etc.).​
