Japan - Proposed Ministerial Ordinance Amending Part of the Fundamental Standards for Establishing Radio Stations
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) is seeking public comments on a proposed amendment to the fundamental standards for establishing radio stations (excluding key broadcasting stations).
The amendment aims to introduce regulatory measures for implementing radio systems on High Altitude Platform Stations (HAPS), which operate in the stratosphere (20-50 km altitude) to enable efficient communication in remote areas and provide rapid communication during disasters.
