The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) has proposed a partial revision to the Notice on the Interpretation of the Ministerial Ordinance Specifying Technical Requirements for Electrical Appliances and Materials.
The proposed revision updates the interpretation of Japan’s ministerial ordinance on technical requirements for electrical appliances and materials by consolidating Appendix Tables 2, 3, and 5 into Appendix Table 12, while also revising Appendix Table 12 to reflect the latest international standards, including IEC standards and the most recent corresponding JIS versions.
