Japan - Partial Amendment of the Ordinance for Enforcement of the Radio Act, etc. - 800 MHz Band Three-Dimensional Positioning System and 800 MHz Band Broadband Low-Power Wireless System

​Japan Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications plans to amend the Ordinance for Enforcement of the Radio Act to introduce technical standards for two new systems in the 800 MHz band: a three-dimensional positioning system and a broadband low-power wireless system. 

This change is being made in preparation for the end of the 800 MHz band digital MCA system, which will cease operations in May 2029.
