Indonesia - Food Contact Material Regulation Scope Expansion

​Indonesia National Agency of Drug and Food Control recently issued Regulation No. 20 of 2019 on the extension of scope on food contact materials and substances. The new scope includes:

a. Single-layer plastic (monolayer);
b. Multilayer plastic (multilayer);
c. Rubber / elastomer;
d. Paper and Cardboard;
e. Cover / gasket / seal;
f. Resin or polymer coatings;
g. Ceramics;
h. Glass; and
i. Metal

All products in scope shall comply with the requirements no later than 12 months from the enactment of this regulation. For details please refer to the regulation.
