Govt. of India issued new notification -Plugs and Socket-Outlets and Alternating Current Direct Connected Static Prepayment Meters for Active Energy (Quality Control)
Extension in date of implementation of revised IS 1293 : 2019 superseding IS 1293: 2005
Highlights of the circular is that the last date for implementation of the revised standard that is from IS 1293: 2005 to IS 1293: 2019 is extended upto 23rd October 2021.
Old regulation -
On March 27, 2020 BIS Central Marks Department has extended the dates of implementation of certain regulations. The plug and socket regulation date has also been extended to October 23, 2020. Please find the notification attached.
Recently Indian government regulated Plugs and Socket-Outlets and Alternating Current Direct Connected Static Prepayment Meters for Active Energy. ISI marking is mandatory for these products imported or manufactured in India. Date of implementation of the order is 1/06/2020.
