India - Plain Copier Paper (Quality Control) Order, 2020

​MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade has issued a regulation for Plain Copier Paper in India.

The order is called Plain Copier Paper (Quality Control) Order, 2020.

The goods or articles specified below shall conform to the corresponding Indian Standard and shall bear the Standard Mark.

Regulated product - Plain Copier Paper, Standard-IS 14490:2018

License from the Bureau as per Scheme-I of Schedule-II of the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018: is required. i.e BIS ISI mark license is required.

Please note that Order shall not apply to goods or articles meant for export.​

This will come to force within 6 months of publication of the order, i.e December 2020.
