India - Domestic Pressure Cooker (Quality Control) Order, 2020.

​Recently, the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry has published a Draft Domestic Pressure Cooker (Quality Control) Order, 2019. This order is mandated now and will come to force from 1st August 2020, under 

Domestic pressure cookers shall comply with Indian Standard IS 2347:2017 and bear the the Standard Mark under a licence from the Bureau as per Scheme-I of Schedule –II of BIS (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.

This Order shall enter into force after six months from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.
