India - Bicycles - Retro Reflective Devices (Quality Control) Order, 2020.

​MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade has issued an order: Bicycles - Retro Reflective Devices (Quality Control) Order, 2020.​

This order shall apply to goods specified in points 1 and 2, but nothing herein shall apply to said goods or articles meant for export.

1. Retro-reflective Devices - IS/ISO 6742-2:2015 (Cycles-Lighting and Retro-Reflective Devices - Part 2 Retro-Reflective Devices).

2. Requirement of Retro-Reflective Devices for Bicycles - Clause 4.14 of IS 10613: 2014 (Cycles-Safety Requirements for Bicycles).

Certification involved for point 1 - Conformity to Standard and Compulsory use of Standard Mark.

Certification involved for point 2 - Certificate of Conformity.

Penalty for Contravention - any person who contravenes the provisions of this Order shall be punishable under the provisions of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016. ​

This order shall come into force with effect from 01.01.2021.​
