India - BEE - Notification to Air Conditioner Manufacturers.

​This notification is for air conditioner manufacturers whose star label will expire on December 31, 2019. There will be updated gazette of India notification for the same.

Default temperature setting for air conditioner should be 24 degree Celsius as optimal temperature as per BEE guidelines. The same will be mandatory from January 1, 2020 onwards.

Manufacturers are also requested to affix sticker (as per BEE) recommending 24 degree Celsius setting on the air conditioner and its packaging to educate consumers regarding reduction of energy and power bills.
