France - Banning on Plastic Packaging for Fruit and Vegetables
In a press release on October 11, the French Ministry of the Environment confirmed that it will no longer be possible to sell unprocessed fresh fruit and vegetables in plastic packaging from January 1, 2022. Exceptions will be made for particularly sensitive varieties, which will gradually follow suit. By 2026, all fruit and vegetables are to be sold without plastic packaging.
