European Union (EC) - Draft Supplementation GSR II on Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA) for WVTA

​On March 25, 2021, the European Commission released a draft of regulation supplementing Regulation 2019/2144 or General Safety Rules (GSR) II specifically for type-approval of Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA). It affects vehicles under M and N-categories and consequently Reg (EU) 2018/858 on WVTA.

This regulation shall be adopted in June 2021, enforced in new vehicle types by July 2022, and for all vehicles registered from July 2021 on.
