European Union (EC) - Adoption of UN-R154 on Approval of Vehicles with Regards to Criteria Emissions, Emissions of Carbon Dioxide and Fuel Consumption and/or The Measurement of Electric Energy Consumption and Electric Range (WLTP)

​In November 2021, the European Commission adopted the UN-R154 on pproval of light duty passenger and commercial vehicles with regards to criteria emissions, emissions of carbon dioxide and fuel consumption and/or the measurement of electric energy consumption and electric range (WLTP).

As from the official date of entry into force of the 01 series of amendments to this Regulation, and by way of derogation to the obligations of Contracting Parties, the Contracting Parties applying this Regulation and also applying the 08 or a later series of amendments to UN Regulation No 83 may refuse to accept type approvals granted on the basis of this Regulation which are not accompanied by an approval to the 08 or a later series of amendments to UN Regulation No 83.
