EU - Restriction Dossier for Substances in Single-Use Nappies Submitted
France has submitted a proposal to restrict formaldehyde, PAHs, dioxins, furans and PCBs in single-use baby nappies. The proposal will now be evaluated by ECHA's scientific Committees for Risk Assessment (RAC) and Socio-economic Analysis (SEAC), and will be subject to a stakeholder consultation.
The proposal by the French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety (Anses) has been published. In December 2020, RAC and SEAC will check that it conforms with the legal requirements for a REACH restriction report. After that, a six-month stakeholder consultation will kick off.
