EU - Proposal to Identify Substance of Very High Concern (SVHCs)

​Sweden has submitted a proposal for identification of, Dioctyltin dilaurate, stannane, dioctyl-, bis(coco acyloxy) derivs., and any other stannane, dioctyl-, bis(fatty acyloxy) derivs, wherein C12 is the predominant carbon number of the fatty acyloxy moiety, as substances of very high concern (SVHCs) due to their possible toxic for reproduction property (REACH Article 57c).

The substances are not registered under REACH. The mono-constituent form of the substance (dioctyltin dilaurate) is used in adhesives and sealants.

The deadline for public consultation is on October 16, 2020.
