EU - Commission Regulation Setting Ecodesign Requirements for Space Heaters, Combination Heaters, Temperature Controls, Solar Devices, Shower Water Heat Recovery Devices and Packages of those Products, Amending and Repealing Commission Regulation (EU) 813

​The regulation expands its scope to include space heaters with a rated heat output between 400 kW and 1 MW, introduces new product definitions, and updates test and calculation methods for technologies like hybrid and thermally driven heat pumps. 

It also incorporates information and resource-efficiency requirements, such as spare parts availability, repair access, and end-of-life product dismantling to support the circular economy, while differentiating energy efficiency requirements for fossil boilers and more efficient alternatives.
