EU - Adoption of the PFHxS Restriction

​EU adopts the restriction for perfluorohexane sulfonic acid (PFHxS), its salts and PFHxS-related compounds by adding a new entry to Annex I to Regulation (EU) 2019/1021 (POP Regulation).

A limit value (unintentional trace contaminant, UTC) is set for PFHxS, its salts and PFHxS-related compounds in substances, mixtures and articles.
- PFHxS, its salts: ≤​ 0.025 mg/kg
- PFHxS-related compounds: ≤​​ 1 mg/kg

The requirements is effective on the 20th day after publishing in the EU Official Journal, i.e. August 28, 2023.
