EU - A New SVHC Intention

​ECHA has updated the Registry of SVHC intentions by adding a new entry about Butyl 4-hydroxybenzoate​ due to its possible endocrine disrupting properties. The entry was submitted by Denmark. ​

This substance is used by consumers, by professional workers (widespread uses) and in formulation or re-packing, mainly in the following products:

- cosmetics and personal care products

- pharmaceuticals

Other release to the environment of this substance is likely to occur from indoor use as processing aid.

The expected date of submission is February 3, 2020.
