Ecuador - First Revision (1R) of Ecuadorian Technical Regulation RTE INEN 095 on Lifts, Escalators and Moving Walkways

​​The notified Technical Regulation establishes the requirements to be met by lifts, escalators and moving walkways, prior to the marketing of domestic and imported products, with the aim of protecting human health and safety, and preventing misleading practices.
The notified Technical Regulation applies to the following products:

1. Electric traction (adhesion or winding drum) elevators, permanently operating, with a cabin for the transport of people or people and cargo, suspended by cables, bands or chains and displacement between guides, inclination not greater than 15º from the vertical.

2. Hydraulic elevators, permanently operating, with a cabin intended for the transport of people or persons and cargo, suspended by hydraulic cylinders, cables or chains and displacement between guides, inclination not greater than 15º from the vertical.

3. Escalators and moving walkways.
