Ecuador - Draft Third Revision (3R) of Ecuadorian Standardization Institute Technical Regulation PRTE INEN No. 048 "Three-Wheeled Motor Vehicles for the Transport of Passengers and Goods")

​The notified Technical Regulation establishes the requirements to be met by three-wheeled motor vehicles for the transport of passengers and goods, prior to the marketing of domestic and imported products, with the aim of protecting human safety and the environment, and preventing misleading practices. The notified Technical Regulation applies to three-wheeled motor vehicles of subcategory L5, Code TRC2 (see note 1) for the transport of passengers and goods, which are assembled, manufactured and marketed in, and imported into Ecuador.
