China - SAMR Publication of GB 47368-2026 for Indoor Stationary Training Equipment and Related Series Standards

​Recently, the State Administration for Market Regulation (National Standardization Administration) approved and released the mandatory national standard "Indoor stationary training equipment - Safety requirements" (GB 47368–2026), along with nine supporting recommended national standards, including "Indoor stationary training equipment - Part 6: Treadmills - Additional specific safety requirements and test methods" (GB/T 17498.6-2026).

This series of standards applies to fixed fitness equipment products intended for indoor use by individuals aged 14 and above. From the perspective of quality and safety of indoor fixed fitness equipment, the standards establish a coordinated system of product requirements and testing methods, providing stronger safety guarantees for users.​​
