China - Proposes Draft Standard on Eye and Face Protectors

​China State Administration for Market Regulation proposed draft standard on General Technical Specification for Eye and Face Protectors.

This standard specifies the classification, general requirements, geometric optical performance requirements, physical optical performance requirements, physical and mechanical performance requirements and identification of eye and face protection products. This standard applies to protective products or components used to protect eyes or face in production and daily life. This standard does not apply to welding protectors, automatic light changing welding filters, strong light source protectors and laser protectors.

The draft standard is recieving public comments until January 15, 2021. Once this standard is adopted, it will become a mandatory standard and replace standard GB 14866-2006.
