China - NHC 2022 Notice No. 5 New Additive and Resin for Food Contact Materials

​China National Health Commission (NHC) recently approved new additives and resins, as well as extended scope of usage in food contact materials and articles, in the notice No. 5 of 2022.

Extended scope for certain additive

- 2-(5-Chloro-2H-benzotriazol-2-yl)-6- (1,1 dimethylethyl)-4-methylphenol

New resin

 - Hexane, 1,6-diisocyanato-, polymerwith poly (oxy-1,2-ethanediyl), α-methyl-ω-hydroxy-

 - 1,4-benzenedicarboxylic acid, polymer with 1,3-benzenedicarboxylic acid, 2,2,4,4-tetramethyl-1,3-cyclobutanediol, 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol, 1,3-propanediol, 2-methyl-, and adipic acid

 - Poly[imino-1,4-butanediylimino (1,10-dioxo-1,10-decanediyl)]
