Chile - Technical Standard for Safety and Quality of Service of the National Interconnected Electrical System and its Annexes

Chile's National Energy Commission (CNE) has announced the Technical Standard for Safety and Quality of Service of the National Interconnected Electrical System, along with its annexes.

​This Technical Standard, issued under the General Law of Electric Services and its current regulations, establishes safety and service quality requirements for interconnected systems. 

Chile's electrical system is currently undergoing a significant transition, marked by the increasing integration of converter-based energy resources and the gradual replacement of conventional power plants. 

This transformation presents new challenges for maintaining security and ensuring service quality.
