Chile - Recycling Law advances: Council of Ministers Approves Decree of Goals for Batteries and Electrical and Electronic Equipment

​Chile's Ministry of the Environment has taken a significant step in advancing the Recycling Law with the approval of a new decree by the Council of Ministers for Sustainability and Climate Change. This decree sets collection and recycling targets for batteries and electronic devices, including photovoltaic panels, under the Extended Producer Responsibility (ERP) Law.​

This regulation emphasizes responsible waste management, aiming to reduce environmental impacts, recover valuable materials, and extend the lifespan of products.​
