Chile - New Regulation for Structural and Safety Requirements of Electric Vehicles

​Chile has recently published a new regulation for electric vehicles. The notified text establishes the technical and safety requirements applicable to electrically-propelled vehicles and vehicles with a hybrid powertrain.

The text is based on technical requirements from EU regulations and US standards,  Korean standards are also accepted as alternative.

The regulation shall be mandatory 12 months after publication in the official gazette. (Nov. 12, 2018 )
