Canada - Decision on a Policy, Licensing and Technical Framework for Supplemental Mobile Coverage by Satellite
The Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED), on behalf of the Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry (the Minister), announces decisions (the Decision) resulting from the consultation process undertaken in Canada Gazette Notice SMSE-006-24, Consultation on a Policy, Licensing and Technical Framework for Supplemental Mobile Coverage by Satellite (the Consultation).
The Consultation addressed policy, licensing and technical considerations for using bands allocated to flexible use and/or commercial mobile services to support the expansion of coverage via satellite, which is referred to hereafter as supplemental mobile coverage by satellite (SMCS).
