Canada - Consultation on RSS-310, Issue 6

​RSS-310 Issue 6 updates the standards for Category II license-exempt radio apparatus, replacing the 2020 version to better align with RSS-Gen.

Key changes include the incorporation of requirements for stand-alone receivers and passive RFID tags, as well as simplified labeling and reporting rules.

Notably, ultra-low power transmitters (≤ 6 nW) and those operating below 9 kHz are no longer fully excluded from ISED requirements but now receive specific exemptions from documentation and labeling.​
