Brazil - Ordinance No. 246, April 22, 2026

The National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology (Inmetro) has formally approved its Regulatory Agenda for the 2026–2027 biennium. 

As detailed in Annex I of the enabling Ordinance, this strategic roadmap prioritizes the advancement of regulatory measures for measuring instruments and pre-packaged products under the Legal Metrology Directorate. 

This initiative is central to Inmetro's broader objective of modernizing Brazilian standards through risk-based governance, international harmonization, and the reduction of administrative burdens on the industrial sector.
