Brazil - CONTRAN - Resolution 757:2018 - Technical Safety Requirements for Testing Retention Systems of Doors, Locks, Hinges and Their Components in Motor Vehicles

As of December 20, 2018 the National Traffic Council or CONTRAN has published the Resolution 757 on Technical Safety Requirements for Testing Retention Systems of Doors, Locks, Hinges and Their Components in Motor Vehicles.

Applicable to all (1.1) lateral and rear doors, and to (1.2) all door components contained in this resolution, excepting foldable, rollable, discardable and (serving as) emergency doors. To (2) door latches and (3) door hinges as well.

This resolution repeals resolution 463 of 1973 and will be enforced as follows:

I - from January 1, 2022 for new projects

II - from January 01, 2024 for all vehicles but can be voluntarely adopted before
