Brazil - ANATEL Publishes Act No. 2105, dated February 14, 2025

ANATEL publishes Act No. 2105, dated February 14, 2025.
This act establishes the technical parameters and criteria to be checked during the conformity assessment of telecommunications products, as per Article 22 of the Regulation for Conformity Assessment and Homologation of Telecommunications Products, approved by Resolution No. 715, dated October 23, 2019.
It sets the minimum requirements for quality, safety, interoperability, and protection of the radio spectrum for new devices to be integrated into the country's 5G networks, including those used in non-terrestrial networks (NTN), low-complexity and low-energy consumption devices (RedCap), and Category 1bis for 4G networks.
The release of new 3GPP standards introduces new functionalities to 5G (and 4G) networks, necessitating updates to testing requirements and procedures.
This Act comes into effect on the date of its publication in the ANATEL Electronic Service Bulletin, and its application becomes mandatory from August 13, 2025.
