Brazil - Anatel Draft Operational Procedure for Conformity Mark Use

​The Anatel (Brazilian National Telecommunication Agency) published the Public Consultation No 29 with
rules to be followed by the applicants to identify the products approved by the Agency.
For this purpose, the operational procedure was prepared considering: the requirements already established by Resolutions No. 242/2000 and 323/2002, the contributions received during the period of validity of the previous regulation and the interaction with the Agency's inspection areas, as well as the new ways of identifying products that are being evaluated in the scope of the WTO.
The operational procedure resulting from this initial analysis simplifies the rules on the form of the marking and includes the possibility of marking by electronic format (e-label) and the possibility of inserting the QR Code. The simplifications and changes made have no impact on the Agency's inspection activities, nor on the identification, by the user, of the approval of the product.
It is open for public comments and suggestions until May 17th 2020.
