Brazil ANATEL issued Act No. 17985, of December 31, 2024.

The act establishes technical and operational requirements for the exceptional authorization of radiofrequency use in specific geographic areas, even if the frequencies have not been designated for the intended services or under different usage conditions than those regulated.

The act becomes effective upon publication in ANATEL's Electronic Service Bulletin.​
