Bahrain - Ministry of Industry, Commerce & Tourism - (Draft) Regulation for Electric Motor Vehicles max GVW 3.5T and max Speed Exceeding 25 km/h
On May 14, 2020, the Kingdom of Bahrain, via its Ministry of Industry, Commerce & Tourism, released the final draft of the "Electric Vehicles Technical Regulation" known as the GSO 02/01/FDS/ 2017. It states the requirements for approving the electrical motor vehicles, in matter of safety, charging and performance aspects to and to avoid/reduce the probability of accidents.
This regulation is concerned with the general requirements for electrical motor vehicles; these requirements are applicable to electrical vehicles, with maximum GVW less than 3500 Kg and a maximum design speed exceeding 25 km/h.
Final date for comments: 60 days from notification
Proposed date of entry into force: Generally six months after publication in the Official Gazette
