Australia - LED Lamp Registration New Form Now Available

​On March 3, 2025 rules were introduced to support new minimum energy performance standards (MEPS), mandatory packaging information, and other requirements for LED lamps. The rules also allow for continued sales of LED lamps imported before March 3, 2026 if certain conditions are met.​

The Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards (LED Lamps) Determination 2025, commences on March 3, 2026. If you intend to offer LED lamps for sale or supply imported from this date, you must ensure the model is registered. A product only needs to be registered for a registration period. You can visit the Energy Rating Registration Database to search for registered models to see if the product already has a registration in place, or if it needs to be registered.​
