Argentina - Resolution 56/2026 Establishing a New Market Surveillance Protocol

Resolution 56/2026 establishes a new Market Surveillance Protocol to standardize the inspection of products and measuring instruments across Argentina, aiming to protect consumer safety and ensure fair trade.

The protocol authorizes modern control methods, including "in situ" inspections and digital processing via the TAD platform, with costs for non-compliant products to be reimbursed by businesses.

This regulation strengthens the enforcement mechanisms overseen by the Secretariat of Industry and Commerce within the Ministry of Economy.
