ARGENTINA - Resolution 15/2019 regarding the acceptance of EU type approvals for certain categories of motor vehicles

​The Official Gazette of Argentina has published Resolution 15/2019 which will enable the recognition of EU type approvals of vehicles of categories M1, M2 manufactured in one single stage, N1, N2 and N3.

In order to be recognized vehicles must have a type approval accrording to EC Directive 2007/46 or according to Regulation EU 2018/858. The data entered and the documentation presented will be in the character of an Affidavit, being the manufacturer and/or importer responsible for the veracity of the same.

This measure shall take effect on the THIRTY (30) days of its publication in the Official Gazette, and its relevance shall be analyzed within FOUR (4) years of its validity, in accordance with the provisions of the Annex to Resolution No. 353 dated August 7, 2017 of the former MINISTRY OF PRODUCTION
