ARGENTINA - Exceptions to the prohibition on importing used motor vehicles

​Argentina has released  Resolution SI No. 26/2019 amending article 7 of Decree 110/1999 by updating the exceptions to the prohibition on importing used motor vehicles.

On this regard, only special purpose used vehicles, as defined in Annex I and II of the amendment are permited to be imported subject to several condiditions such as the year of manufacture and the current limitations of national manufacturing capabilities of such vehicles.

Importers of special purpose vehicles, as defined in Annex I and II of Resolution SI No. 26/2019 will need to apply for special importation permit following the template defined in Annex IV of the aforementioned Resolution.
