On February 28, TÜV Rheinland Greater China, an international independent third-party testing, inspection, and certification organization, presented an organization-level greenhouse gas verification (i.e., carbon verification) statement based on the ISO 14064 standard to Anhui Shijing Solar Power Technology Co., Ltd. (SJEF Solar). It also presented a product carbon footprint verification statement based on the ISO 14067:2018 to SJEF Solar for its N-type TOPCon cells.
Representatives in attendance at the statement presentation ceremony included Fan Han, Marketing Director of Shanghai Shijing New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., Karen Chen, Vice General Manager of Area Sales of TÜV Rheinland Greater China Certification of Management Systems, and Dr. Li Lixin, Sustainability Product Manager of TÜV Rheinland Greater China Certification of Management Systems.
In this project, the expert team from TÜV Rheinland reconfirmed the results of SJEF Solar's organization-level greenhouse gas inventory and verified the sources of its organization-level greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 14064 standard. Meanwhile, based on the ISO 14067 standard, TÜV Rheinland conducted a verification of the full life cycle carbon footprint of SJEF Solar's high-efficiency N-type solar cells from "cradle to gate" through document review, interviews, on-site verification, and recalculation. This covered multiple fields, including energy management, life cycle analysis, materials application, and supply chain management.
As a leading global technical service provider, TÜV Rheinland is authorized and accredited as a greenhouse gas audit and verification body by the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS), the EU Emissions Trading System (ETS), the German Emissions Trading Authority (DEHSt), and the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS).
TÜV Rheinland has extensive project experience in the fields of energy conservation, environmental protection, and low-carbon emission reduction. It can provide relevant services for enterprises in automotive, chemical, photovoltaic, electronic and electrical, real estate, battery, building materials, textile and clothing, new materials, medical equipment and other industries, covering all aspects from raw materials, design and development, and production process to product recycling.
With the increasing global attention to climate change and the vigorous implementation of relevant policies, "carbon footprint" management and assessment has become one of the keys for enterprises to compete in the international market. SJEF Solar actively responds to the national "dual carbon" strategy, continuously deepens technological innovation, and takes concrete actions to implement the concept of green development. In the future, TÜV Rheinland and SJEF Solar will further strengthen their cooperation, actively exploring green and low-carbon transformation paths and jointly promoting the healthy and sustainable development of the photovoltaic industry.
