TÜV Rheinland Launches "Better Vision" Eye Comfort Pop-up in Taipei as Display Comfort Takes Center Stage in the AI Era
Taiwan | 13 July, 2026
As AI-powered PCs, smartphones, and smart glasses become increasingly integrated into daily life, people are spending more time than ever using digital displays for work, learning, and entertainment. While many display products promote features such as low blue light, eye care mode, and flicker-free technology, consumers are often left wondering whether these functions truly contribute to a more comfortable viewing experience. Is reducing blue light alone enough? What factors actually influence viewing comfort during extended screen use? With a growing variety of display technologies and product claims on the market, choosing a display that delivers genuine viewing comfort has become an increasingly important consideration for consumers.
When purchasing smartphones, tablets, or monitors, consumers often focus on screen size, resolution, and price, while paying less attention to whether the display is designed for long-term viewing comfort. In reality, factors such as blue light management, image stability, and adaptation to ambient lighting conditions can all influence viewing comfort.
To help consumers better understand the principles behind comfortable displays, TÜV Rheinland will host the "Better Vision" Eye Comfort Pop-up during the 2026 Quality Fest campaign at Syntrend Creative Park in Taipei. Moving beyond traditional product specifications, the pop-up will invite visitors to explore the key factors that influence viewing comfort and understand that a comfortable display is achieved through a combination of factors, including color quality, brightness, flicker control, ambient light adaptation, and usage conditions.
Unlike conventional product showcases, the "Better Vision" Eye Comfort Pop-up creates an interactive space centered on visual experiences. Based on TÜV Rheinland's Eye Comfort Certification, the pop-up will feature three themed experience zones, featuring ambient light management, flicker-free technology, and blue light management. Through hands-on demonstrations, visitors can discover the science behind display certification and better understand how different display technologies influence long-term viewing comfort. During the event, TÜV Rheinland will also host interactive challenges and prize quizzes to encourage healthier screen-use habits and provide practical guidance on selecting display products designed for greater viewing comfort.
According to TÜV Rheinland, as smart devices become an essential part of everyday life, consumer expectations for display products are evolving beyond high resolution and high performance toward greater comfort during prolonged use. Through this pop-up, TÜV Rheinland hopes that Eye Comfort Certification will become more than just a product label, serving as a useful reference that helps consumers recognize, understand, and choose displays designed for a more comfortable digital experience in their everyday lives.
The 2026 Quality Fest campaign – "Better Vision" Eye Comfort Pop-up will be in place from July 16 to July 19, 2026, at the outdoor glass pavilion on the first floor of Syntrend Creative Park in Taipei. The pop-up will be open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Visitors can experience interactive demonstrations and better understand what display certification represents. On July 18 and 19, limited-edition gifts will also be available while supplies last. TÜV Rheinland invites consumers to visit the "Better Vision" Eye Comfort Pop-up and discover how comfortable viewing can contribute to a better quality of life. Pop-up event video
