TÜV Rheinland Awards Hygienic Properties Certification to Osmofresh Electrical Water Dispensers

Recently, TÜV Rheinland, a leading international independent testing, inspection, and certification organization, issued Hygienic Properties Certification to Osmofresh Electrical Reverse Osmosis Water Dispensers (Models: ROFUT.M, ROFUL.M, ROFBT, ROFBL) . The certification was awarded following comprehensive testing based on relevant international standards for hygiene, material safety, and performance in products that come into contact with drinking water.

TÜV Rheinland’s evaluation process focused on the materials in contact with water for compliance with food-grade safety and hygiene requirements. This encompassed testing for the migration of 19 heavy metals in accordance with EU EN 14350 related to children's drinking equipment, as well as 12 requirements under EU food contact material regulations and German Food and Feed Code (LFGB) standards.

In addition, microbiological testing was conducted on the product's internal components in accordance with DIN EN 16889 for food equipment hygiene. The tests targeted microorganisms including E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Results indicated that the internal components maintained hygienic conditions even after simulated long-term use, supporting ongoing water quality and meeting the criteria for TÜV Rheinland's Hygienic Properties certification.
