The Supplier Sustainability Performance Assessment (SSPA) by TÜV Rheinland has been officially recognized as an external sustainability audit within the EcoVadis methodology. It covers the topics of Environment, Labor Practices & Human Rights, and Ethics. The recognition of SSPA underscores the program’s credibility and impact in the development towards sustainable and responsible supply chains. Companies participating in the SSPA Program can now submit it as part of their EcoVadis assessment as evidence of their sustainability actions.
Simplifying EcoVadis Documentation for Customers
“For our customers, this is an important step: TÜV Rheinland SSPA audit reports can now be submitted as a valid External Sustainability Audit to support their EcoVadis documentation. This reduces duplication of effort and provides a credible, on-site view of sustainability performance - while fully respecting EcoVadis’ independent methodology and validation rules,” said Reinhard Bier, Global Product Manager Supply Chain Audits at TÜV Rheinland.
