TÜV Rheinland Supports Cascale Annual Meeting 2025 in Hong Kong
Hong Kong | 25 September, 2025
TÜV Rheinland Greater China, a leading international independent testing, inspection, and certification organization, supported and participated in the Cascale Annual Meeting 2025, held in Hong Kong from September 15–17 under the theme “A Movement for All.” This flagship event convened brands, retailers, manufacturers, and affiliate members from across the consumer goods value chain to accelerate industry-wide collaboration on sustainability and responsible business practices.
Arrow Shi, Global Scheme Manager of Customized Services at TÜV Rheinland Greater China, was invited to join the panel discussion “Peer-to-Peer Learning: How to Use and Interpret Higg FEM Results and Verification Outcomes.” During the session, Arrow shared practical insights drawn from TÜV Rheinland’s extensive experience, having conducted Higg FEM verifications for more than 27,000 factories in recent years. She highlighted common gaps between self-assessment and verification results, ranging from limited personnel capacity and insufficient familiarity with scoring rules, to factories’ attitude to adopt higher-level improvements due to cost considerations. At the same time, she emphasized how repeated verification cycles and targeted training are driving continuous improvements in both understanding and performance across the industry.
TÜV Rheinland emphasizes its role in analyzing and sharing verification data with clients during approved Higg FEM trainings, helping factories benchmark against industry averages and adopt best practices. It is critical that verification remains fair, independent, and consistent across different factories and regions. By keeping knowledge updated and high quality report, TÜV Rheinland ensures Higg FEM continues to provide meaningful insights for both brands and manufacturers.
Through its thought leadership at the Cascale Annual Meeting 2025, TÜV Rheinland reaffirmed its dedication to supporting the consumer goods industry with expertise, standardized tools, and trusted verification services that enable sustainable impact at scale.
